Q: Will I meet my dog walker?

A: Yes. We offer a free consultation and trial walk where you and your dog will both meet your dog walker. During this session your walker will spend time ensuring that they understand your dog's personality and needs.

Q: Are you police checked?

A: Yes. All walkers are selected carefully by Denise, and fully checked. If you do require to see copies of your walkers Disclosure Scotland form, please let us know.

Q: How much do you charge?

A: We charge a basic rate of £10 for a group walk and £14 for a private on-leash walk. For information on pet boarding or home visits please contact us.

Q: Are you insured?

A: Yes. Waggy Trails are fully insured through specialist pet care insurance. If you would like more information or to see a copy of our insurance certificate, please contact us and we will be happy to oblige.

Q: How many dogs are walked at any one time?

A: According to our policy, any one walker is permitted to walk no more than 4 dogs at one time.  Dogs can also be walked one on one if requested by you. Please contact us to hear more about what walkers and pooches live in your area.

Q: How do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?

A: We will collect your dog from your house, and then return them safely after their walk. During the first meeting with you and your dog we will arrange how we will gain access to your house. If we need keys, we ask that these are ready for collection during this meeting.

Q: What areas do you cover?

A: For dog walking, we cover most areas in the North of Glasgow.  The areas covered include:  Milngavie, Bearsden, Blanefield, Strathblane, Lennoxtown, Mugdock, Craigton, Killearn, Bishopbriggs and the West End of Glasgow.

Q: Do you do out of hours walking?

A: Yes.  By special arrangement. Please contact us for further details.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: If you have to cancel an appointment, please contact us by telephone giving us at least 24 hours notice.

Q: What do you do in case of an emergency?

A: In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest possible one depending on the circumstances.

Q: How do the dogs travel?

A: The dogs travel in a new Citroen Berlingo van. The van is white which reflects the heat and also has a specially fitted roof vent for increased air-flow.  The cages are fixed and were professionally installed by a commercial vehicle lining company.  To ensure maximum comfort and security for your dog while travelling, the cages are fitted with mattresses and clean doggy blankets.            

Q: How do I arrange a booking for dog walking or pet sitting?

A: In the first instance, by contacting us by telephone or e-mail.  At this stage, I will contact you personally and before commencing any service, I will visit you and your pet at your home (this consultation is free of charge). At this initial meeting, I will take a note of many things including what your dog likes and also dislikes along with other valuable Information, such as health and vet details. Any specific needs and requirements will also be discussed.
